4K Aluminum Limited Warranty

4K Aluminum Inc., Las Vegas, Nevada (hereinafter “4K”) provides the following limited material warranty for 4K Pergola Systems and 4K Pergo-Soleil. Subject to the conditions and limitations listed herein, 4K Aluminum Inc. (hereinafter “4K”) warrants 4K Pergola Extruded aluminum products and 4K Pergo-Soleil panels to be free from material defects in quality and materials. This warranty applies to the 4K materials themselves, regardless of which 4K system or product line they are used in. This limited warranty covers the quality of workmanship and materials for 20 years from the date of installation. This limited warranty is void if the warranted good is moved from the installation address listed on the warranty registration and covers only regular and proper use. This limited warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse.

This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. This warranty does not cover the cost of installing any product, the cost of removing or disposing of any product, or the cost of installing any replacement product furnished under the terms of the warranty. 4K does not warrant or guarantee that any aluminum parts provided under this limited warranty will match the originals in color or pattern. 4K reserves the right to discontinue or modify any product line or color without notifying the original purchaser. If the original product is unavailable, we retain the right to provide replacement material of equal value or quality.

The coverage of this warranty only covers products used on a residential or commercial property where the owner resides during the original owner’s occupancy. The warranty period for products installed on property that is not residential property where the owner resides, including but not limited to schools, condominiums, apartment buildings, and rental property – or on property owned by other owners, including but not limited to corporations, government agencies, partnerships, trusts, religious organizations, and cooperatives will be twenty (20) years following the installation of the aluminum products and is limited to the original owner (non-transferable).

Either Jotun International or AkzoNobel provides the powder coat warranty, which is a 20-year warranty against flaking and fading. The warranty is limited to material replacement, not installation labor, if any.

The powder coat finish warranty applies only to 4K standard colors. Custom colors are not supplied by 4K and are not covered by any 4K finish warranty.

4K Aluminum Wood Sublimation powder coat warranty provides a 10-year warranty. The Wood Sublimation warranty is not valid if:

1. Damages to the Coated Materials caused by installation; or
2. Damages to the Coated Materials caused by scratching or rubbing after installation or
3. Damages to the Coated Materials from the cut edges exposed to the outdoor atmosphere and if the joint sealer is not applied to all exposed cut edges or
4. Cleaning and maintenance are not carried out as recommended in our 4K Aluminum Care & Maintenance Instructions, which can be found on our 4K Aluminum website.

The Wood Sublimation 10-year warranty is limited to material replacement, not installation labor, if any; 4K Aluminum will authorize the direct replacement upon inspection of the defective material.

During high-wind events, homeowners should open the ATLAS louvers to help reduce wind pressure and uplift forces, minimize potential damage, and protect the structural integrity of the system.

Component Warranty – 2 Years

The ATLAS Louver pins, pivot bars, slotted bars, batteries, motors, and control box are covered under a limited two (2) year warranty from the original date of installation against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and operating conditions.

Manufacturer’s Warranty – LED Light Strips

4K Aluminum provides a limited one (1) year warranty on LED light strips from the original date of installation, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and operating conditions. This warranty covers replacement materials only and excludes labor, installation, removal, and related costs.

4K shall not be liable for, and this warranty does not apply to any failure, defect, damage, or expense resulting from or connected with the following:

• Installation or handling of products, once removed from our facility, including any lack of performance or improper performance in any way by the contractor or other installer;
• Abnormal use of the products;
• Heat or radiation;
• Corrosion caused by environmental factors such as salt, chemicals, or other corrosive atmospheric conditions not related to 4K Aluminum's manufacturing process is not covered under this warranty;
• The use of any product not manufactured by us;
• Labor, transportation, or installation costs; color changes due to weathering or aging if the color change is even and equal when exposed to the same or similar sunlight and other environmental conditions because weathering will cause any colored surface to gradually lighten, darken, chalk, or accumulate dirt or stains (the severity of these conditions depends on air quality, the geographic location of the property, and other local conditions over which 4K has no control);
• Anyone or anything other than 4K, including without limitation weathering, oxidation, mold, mildew, settling of the building, failure of the structure (including foundations and walls), use of incompatible accessories, fire, flood, lightning, ice, wind-borne objects, earthquake, hurricane, sun, cyclone, gale, tornado, the weather of a catastrophic nature, acts of God, intentional acts, unreasonable use, misuse, physical abuse, vandalism, riot, insurrection or civil disorder, accidents, or corrosive atmospheres (such as those contaminated by acid rain, harmful chemicals, or vapors), or other defects not caused by 4K; or ordinary wear and tear.

4K Aluminum products are manufactured from premium architectural-grade aluminum and finished with high-performance powder coating systems designed for exterior use. However, installations located in coastal or marine environments are exposed to elevated levels of salt, moisture, and airborne contaminants that can accelerate surface corrosion and finish deterioration. Industry standards recognize that coastal environments require enhanced maintenance and protection.

Warranty Limitation for Coastal Installations

Standard 4K Aluminum structural warranty remains in effect.

For installations located within 5 miles of a saltwater coastline, bay, harbor, or marine environment, the finish warranty is limited to 5 years against peeling, blistering, or flaking of the powder-coated finish.

The warranty does not cover corrosion, oxidation, discoloration, or finish deterioration resulting from lack of routine cleaning and maintenance.

Coastal installations must be washed with fresh water at least every 30–60 days, and more frequently in areas with heavy salt exposure.

Damage caused by salt accumulation, chemical exposure, abrasive cleaning methods, or neglect is excluded from warranty coverage.

4K AND ITS EMPLOYEES ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO APPROVE, RECOMMEND, OR ADVISE AS TO THE SUITABILITY OF 4K PRODUCTS FOR ALL POSSIBLE USES OR APPLICATIONS. THEREFORE, YOU SHOULD CONSULT THE LOCAL BUILDING CODE AUTHORITY OR FIRE MARSHAL’S OFFICE ON THE SAFETY AND SUITABILITY OF ANY 4K PRODUCT FOR A PROPOSED USE.

The State of California knows some materials and products provided by 4K Aluminum Inc. contain chemicals that cause cancer, congenital disabilities, or other reproductive harm. (California law requires this warning to be given to customers in the State of California.)

A claim under this warranty must be reported in writing, with proof of purchase, to 4K Aluminum, Inc., 4343 Sobb Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89118, within seven (7) days of the date that the defect is first discovered or reasonably could have been discovered. 4K will then have a reasonable time to inspect or, at 4K’s option, to have the product shipped at the owner’s expense, prepaid, to 4K to examine the alleged defect.

4K shall be the sole judge of whether the product is defective and whether the defect is due to manufacturing. If, after its inspection, 4K determines the claim is in accordance with the terms of this Limited Warranty, then 4K will, at its option, replace the defective section or part or provide a refund according to the following schedules:

The preceding express warranty excludes all other express warranties. Any implied warranty, including any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose or of merchantability, is limited in duration to the duration of the express warranty contained in this warranty document unless a shorter period is permitted by law. In no event will 4k be liable for any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of breach of this warranty or the purchase, installation, ownership, or use of 4k aluminum inc. your exclusive remedy and 4k’s exclusive liability for any breach of warranty is limited to what appears in this document.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the limitation or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific rights, and you may have other legal rights which vary from state to state.

This warranty shall only be applicable & enforceable in the United States of America.
